I’m a PhD candidate in political science at MIT, focusing on natural language processing and text analysis as ways of generating new data for research on conflict, forecasting, and civil war. You can find me on TwitterGithub, and LinkedIn, but the best way to reach me is by email.

Before starting at MIT, I worked at Caerus Analytics in Washington, DC, developing open source analytics software for government clients. Before that, I spent a year in Kosovo on a Fulbright, building on my undergraduate research at Amherst College. I’ve consulted as a data scientist/engineer for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Kensho Technologies, a number of university research projects, and a sports betting operation.
